John,
Earlier this month, the Supreme Court heard a case that could gut Roe v. Wade. If Roe is weakened or overturned, Minnesota could become the last hope for abortion rights in the Midwest. John, what happens in Minnesota in 2022 will determine reproductive rights for generations to come.
While choice is protected in Minnesota right now, we are dangerously close to losing these safeguards. An anti-choice state representative has vowed to introduce a bill similar to the Texas abortion ban in our state’s next legislative session. And since we lost the majority in the Minnesota Senate years ago, anti-choice bills have passed on the floor.
The truth is, these abortion bans and anti-choice legislation disproportionately impact people of color, young people, low-income people, and rural people. In a state with so many disparities already, we can’t allow this to happen in Minnesota.
With every single seat in the Minnesota legislature up for election because of redistricting, we have an opportunity to elect pro-choice women leaders across Minnesota -- ensuring that we have our best advocates in office, fighting to protect abortion rights.
We need you with us. Will you support Women Winning today so we can continue our work to elect our best advocates? Your contribution goes directly to making sure pro-choice women have the support they need to run for office -- and WIN. [[link removed]]
