REV. MARK H. CREECH ? Christmas and New Year celebrations pose, for many, a significant risk for problematic drinking. The results can be disastrous. Alcohol is intertwined with so many of our holiday activities. There can be steady nudges from loved ones and friends not only to drink, but to drink more. It's not always easy to say "no." Moreover, the emotional factors, the stresses of the season, and the holiday blues turn into temptations to drink excessively.... (more)

Says too expensive, goes too far
YOUTUBE ? Setting off a war of words between the White House and himself, West Virginia's Sen. Joe Manchin told Fox News' Bret Baier that he will not be supporting Biden's social and climate bill known as "Build Back Better." Baier responded, to clarify, "You're done – this is a no." "This is a no," affirmed Manchin. His apparent reversal caused White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki to accuse him of not being "true to his word." But Manchin decided the bill is not only too expensive, but goes too far. He said he was concerned he wouldn't be able to explain to constituents why he would support such a bill. The Congressional Budget Office, it should be noted, said the actual cost would be almost 5 trillion dollars, not the 1.75 trillion publicly claimed by Biden.... (more)

NEWSMAX ? The stalling of the Build Back Better Act in the Senate is not only a signal President Joe Biden's agenda "is dead," according to economist Larry Kudlow, but he added "we are watching his presidency crumble." "The really good news is that the bill is dead, at least for now," Kudlow told Sunday's "The Cats Roundtable" on WABC 770 AM-N.Y. "[The Democrats] will pick it up again, probably in February."... Nation on the brink of total meltdown
WORLD NET DAILY ? One year before the 2022 midterm elections, the United States of America, long the freest, most powerful and most successful nation on earth, is on the brink of total meltdown. Power-obsessed politicians in thrall to a bizarre, quasi-religious ideology, seemingly oblivious to the destruction and suffering they're causing, daily implement new agendas that crush America's great middle class, her economy and her most hallowed institutions.... Wanted 'quick and devastating published takedown' of Great Barrington Declaration
ART MOORE ? A new release of emails shows outgoing National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins asked White House coronavirus adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci to carry out a "quick and devastating published takedown" of the Great Barrington Declaration. "This proposal from three fringe epidemiologists who met with the Secretary seems to be getting a lot of attention – and even a co-signature from Nobel Prize winner Mike Leavitt at Stanford," Collins wrote in an Oct. 8, 2020, email posted on Twitter by researcher Phillip W. Magness.... (more)

BOB UNRUH ? A major political action arm of the conservative movement in America is asking Rep. Kevin McCarthy, the House Republican leader, to remove Reps. Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Indiana from the GOP Conference. They both have been virulently anti-Trump and were put by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on her special partisan commission to "investigate" the Jan. 6 events at the U.S. Capitol.... (more)

An op-ed by Drs. Harvey Risch, Robert W. Malone, and Byram Bridle
THE FEDERALIST ? The attacks on free speech and science are unrelenting. Academic publisher Elsevier's suppression of an article documenting the myocarditis risk of the COVID-19 vaccines, with no excuse or pretext offered, is incredible enough. Viewed alongside Twitter's censorship of the American Heart Association, YouTube's suppression of a panel discussion of vaccine mandates on Capitol Hill, and the Orwellian call by National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins for critics of the government's COVID-19 policies to be "brought to justice," the trend is positively chilling.... MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell posed the question to the White House coronavirus adviser Wednesday, pointing out the growing political opposition as well as the legal setbacks. "Is there any thought of backing off of [requiring the vaccine], and trying to avoid all the outcry against it," asked the veteran NBC reporter. Fauci replied that "we really have to get people vaccinated."... (more)

RED STATE ? It has not been a good couple of days for Democrats. Most religious kids ? especially those who attend traditional Christian and Jewish schools ? are raised with different values than most secular kids
DENNIS PRAGER ? Anyone who thinks about the current civil war in America comes to realize that it is, in large measure, a war between the religious and the anti-religious. The left has contempt for evangelical Protestants, traditional Catholics and Orthodox Jews for good reason: They represent everything the left loathes; and while there are, of course, secular conservatives who fight the left, the largest and most effective opposition comes from conservative Christians and Jews.... We need to embrace early treatment using ?cheap, generic, widely available drugs??not focus solely on vaccines pushed by the ?COVID gods?
YOUTUBE ? MUST WATCH: In a 30-minute speech on the Senate floor Dec. 8, Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) defended himself against disparaging comments directed at him by "COVID god" Anthony Fauci. After a detailed defense, in which Sen Johnson noted a pattern to Dr. Fauci's failed policies going back decades and cited current FDA and CDC data relating to COVID, Sen. Johnson said, "Our response to COVID has been a miserable failure; we must acknowledge that." He stressed, 'We need to embrace early treatment. The vaccines aren't 100% guaranteed effective; new variants will emerge that we're going to have to treat. Better to start now and give cheap, generic, widely available drugs a shot.'...
