Over the weekend, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit lifted our stay on OSHA’s vaccine mandate, endangering religious organizations across the country. With this action, all companies with over 100 employees will be required to implement the Biden administration’s vaccine mandate, no matter their beliefs, which endangers the freedom of all Americans.
No matter where people stand on the vaccine, it would be incredibly dangerous for the government to be able to take over all of our companies with over 100 employees, including religious organizations.
This mandate is not only unconstitutional but will directly hurt religious organizations and millions of employees who seek to hold to their sincerely held religious beliefs.
First Liberty represents Answers in Genesis, Daystar Television, and the American Family Association, and will not let this mandate stand. We have appealed directly to the Supreme Court of the United States requesting a stay of this mandate.
Watch First Liberty’s President and CEO Kelly Shackelford unpack the details behind the appeal:
However, this isn’t the only case that’s had major developments over the weekend. We also represent 35 Navy SEALs who face punishment because they seek a legal accommodation to the DOD vaccine mandate, and now 47 U.S. Senators and Representatives have signed on to a “friend of the court” brief expressing their support. Each lawmaker knows that this affront to our military heroes cannot stand.
In fact, the case is currently being heard in federal court and we could secure a victory within the next few days. Our nation’s heroes deserve to be able to live according to their faith and nothing but disaster can ensue when military leaders think they’re above the law.
In both our SEALs case and the OSHA mandate, the government thinks that it can supersede the law and our Constitution. With God’s favor, we will preserve freedom. Will you stand with us as we protect the rights and liberties of all Americans?
