John —
For more than 23 years, Rodney Reed has been on death row in Texas for a crime he’s always said he did not commit, and there’s been mounting evidence to back his claims.
Recently, it was discovered that prosecutors at Rodney’s 1998 trial illegally concealed evidence that could have helped prove his innocence. We’re fighting hard to free him, but next week he’ll spend another birthday and holiday season on death row.
What Rodney misses most during the holiday season is just spending time with his five brothers, with whom he said he shared everything growing up, and eating his dad’s giblet gravy and his aunt’s pecan pie.

Rodney’s birthday is just a couple of days away, so we’re gathering notes from his supporters that his legal team will deliver to him. Will you send Rodney a happy birthday message to help raise his spirits this week?
We know that these birthday messages will help put a smile on his face, especially during the holidays.
With deep gratitude,
— The Innocence Project Team
