This afternoon we were looking at how our fundraising has been doing this month.
We believe we're all in this together, John, so we want to be honest about the fact December has been a slow month.
A small slowdown can be expected this time of year. Folks are busy with holidays and enjoying time with family and friends. But with the current pace of grassroots donations coming in, we're worried about missing our December goal and starting the new year off behind our projections — especially now that Cori has officially announced we're running for re-election.
Worrying about our fundraising is the last thing we want to put on Cori's plate. That's why we rely on grassroots donations from folks like you to power our work so we don't have to ask Cori or our team members to take their focus off of legislating and organizing and spend time on fundraising.
