Joe Manchin is better friends with corporate lobbyists and
mega-millionaire donors than he is to the communities who helped elect
him.

So it’s no surprise that yesterday he announced on Fox News that he is a
“hard no” on the Build Back Better Act.

It’s evident where his loyalties lie, and it’s not with the people.

With the Senate in a 50-50 gridlock, “pay to play” corporate Democrats
like Manchin are able to wield an outsized amount of power, but if we
elect progressive Senators across the nation in 2022, we can reduce his
power and Save the Senate.

With obstructionist Democrats like Manchin preventing any progress on the
issues that matter, it is absolutely crucial that we have enough resources
early on to get voters engaged in key Senate battleground states like
North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.

From 2004 to today, DFA has a long track record of helping progressive
candidates win even in the face of establishment opposition.

So while we can't stop corporate Democrats like Manchin from doing the
bidding of Big Oil and Wall Street, we can show the corporate
establishment that a progressive message targeted at young people, people
of color, women, and working families is how you win in 2022.
