Hey — think you've got room to sign one more holiday card? Then we could really use your help with this:
We're sending a holiday card to Tim Shriver, our Special Olympics Chairman, and the entire Shriver family. And we want to fill it with the names of all of the incredible supporters who make this movement so powerful!
Will you send your best wishes to the Shrivers by signing this *surprise* card, just in time for the holidays?
One of the most important and meaningful aspects of Special Olympics' work is our movement to include — our belief that no one with an intellectual disability (ID) should ever feel forgotten, less than, or ashamed because of who they are.
This belief is central to who we are. It was the mission of Eunice Kennedy Shriver more than 50 years ago when she started Special Olympics in her backyard as a camp for children with ID. And it's the mission that Tim and other members of the Shriver family carry out today — supported by a community of athletes, coaches, volunteers, and supporters like you!
During this time of year for giving thanks and sharing love, let's honor the legacy of the Shriver family and thank them for the joy Special Olympics brings to people everywhere. Please, sign the card today — and we'll send it to the Shrivers in time for Christmas!
Happy holidays,
The team at Special Olympics
