John, there’s something you need to know about our opponent for PA’s Senate seat, Dr. Oz.
In 2012, “The Dr. Oz Show” aired an episode on so-called “reparative therapy” — commonly referred to as “conversion therapy” — which claims to turn LGBTQIA+ people straight.
The episode featured guests from the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality, a toxic anti-gay group founded to “help” people “diminish their homosexuality” somehow. Oz presented these homophobes as so-called “experts” and didn’t challenge their views once during the episode.
Guess what?? If you have a history of supporting hate, you don’t get to represent Pennsylvanians in Congress. Point blank. You can help us ensure Dr. Oz never, ever becomes PA’s next Senator by chipping in any amount right now.
John Fetterman, on the other hand, shows up for our LGBTQIA+ communities. Always has, always will. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️💪
When marriage equality was still unjustly illegal, he was the *first* elected official in Pennsylvania to officiate same-sex marriages as Mayor of Braddock.
And every time the “flag police” come for John's pride flags hanging on the PA state capitol building, he puts them right back up — and he's gonna keep doing just that.
So if you send John to the U.S. Senate next year, you can know this without a doubt: He’ll continue to fight boldly, relentlessly, and proudly for LGBTQIA+ rights and freedoms, just like he ALWAYS has.
We need a Senator fighting for equal protection under the law, not a celebrity with a shady track record of promoting homophobic hate groups. Thank you so much for being a part of this campaign as we (always) stick up for what’s right.
