When Joe and our team founded Groundwork Project, we committed to supporting community organizers, advocates, and activists across the country working year-round to build a just, free, and equitable future for all. Because we know that investing in hyperlocal efforts is the best way to build sustainable political infrastructure, engage and educate voters, build power for the historically excluded, and win progressive policy fights.
That’s why this holiday season, we are briefly putting aside our own fundraising efforts in order to focus on an issue that is on all of our hearts and minds right now: reproductive justice.
In 2021, states across the U.S. made history by enacting over 100 abortion restrictions - the most in a single year since Roe v. Wade . This is the first time this number has hit triple digits in almost 50 years.
WV FREE, the Yellowhammer Fund, and the Mississippi Reproductive Freedom Fund are all local, grassroots groups fighting for reproductive justice and giving aid to Mississippians, West Virginians, and Alabamians who continue to seek reproductive care and access to safe abortions. Join me, Joe, and the rest of the GWP team and donate to our Groundwork Gives campaign. Each donation will be automatically split between these three organizations. [[link removed]]

After meeting with hundreds of local organizers and activists in partner states Alabama, West Virginia and Mississippi, we’ve come to learn that folks from these areas are well-prepared for the fights ahead but vastly under-resourced. This is why it is critical that we come together right now to ensure these three organizations have the resources they need to take on the fights coming in 2022 and protect the right to choose in their communities.
Give now to split your donation between WV FREE, the Yellowhammer Fund, and the Mississippi Reproductive Freedom Fund. [[link removed]]
