Help us educate more Americans on the just and noble cause of Palestine

Dear Email,

Educating Americans about Palestine is the cornerstone of our work. In fact, over the past 15 years, we’ve been aiming to fulfill our mission of empowerment, through education and action because we know that when people are equipped with the knowledge, they are driven towards action. With workshops, seminars, training, and book clubs across the US, our AMP staff and chapters in ten major cities have led on the educational front on and off-campus, in places of worship, and in the general public.

Some of my favorite educational endeavors over the years were our bus ad campaign which was featured on buses in major cities such as Washington D.C., New York, and San Francisco; and our Public Library Project which filled public libraries across the country with books by Edward Said, Rashid Khalidi, and Ilan Pappe. These and our annual conference in Chicago, have educated thousands of people on our narrative, history, and cause and have contributed to the major shifts in public opinion we are witnessing today.

It is now undeniable that as Americans learn more about the Israeli occupation of Palestine, the more they oppose it. All polls and data from the past five years confirm that public opinion is shifting in favor of Palestinian rights and justice. We are now striving to ensure that this shift in public opinion translates to a shift in policy.

In 2021, we expanded on our educational work by producing new online series on the intersections of Black-Palestinian liberation, Palestinian cuisine, and webinars on the most important developments in Palestine. We also hosted thousands of attendees from across the US for our annual conference in Chicago!

The results of these polls and changes in the attitudes of Americans didn’t happen overnight. They are the product of decades of educational work by AMP and the Palestine movement.

As this year comes to an end and we prepare to enact our educational plans for 2022, help us hit the ground running by donating today.

Sincerely,

Dr. Hatem Bazian

Chairman, AMP
