It was three years ago this week that Ryan Zinke was forced to resign as Donald Trump’s Interior Secretary. So to help celebrate this wonderful occasion, I got Zinke a cake — and no, I’m not joking:
Fun aside, today I’m thinking about just how dangerous Ryan Zinke was for our state and our nation when he served in the Trump Administration. Whether it be pushing for offshore drilling, green lighting coal mining on public lands, attempting to sell off our public lands, or other harmful policy. Zinke *also* embarrassed our state by committing a myriad of ethics violations — like that time he spent $139,000 of our taxpayer money on an office door. (Yes, that’s true!)
Ryan Zinke doesn’t represent our values – and we can’t risk him going to Washington again. But we’re still about $3,611 short of our grassroots fundraising goal this week. Can you make a donation of $3 to send a message to Zinke that we’re ready to defeat him?
We’ve been watching Zinke closely, but we aren’t the only ones. Recently, the shady National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) placed him on their “On the Radar'' list. This means his campaign now has FULL access to the NRCC’s resources – and a direct line to GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy.
Republicans and the NRCC would love nothing more than to welcome Ryan Zinke back to Washington with open arms, so he can continue being a puppet for their dangerous agenda — and they’re ready to do whatever it takes to make that happen.
Our campaign, on the other hand, doesn’t rely on dark money or outside groups to help us be successful. We live and work in Montana. We depend on folks like you, making investments in our campaign because you believe in what we’re building.
