I have a personal update for you about our fundraising this quarter, and I’ll be blunt: we’re behind on our goals because of the winter slump.

It’s understandable! People are shopping and spending more time with their families and less time reading messages like this one.

These slumps hit us hard, though, because grassroots contributions through emails, like this one, power our work to reelect Michael. We don’t take a cent from corporate PACs or federal lobbyists, so when folks head offline, we see a downturn. Mitch McConnell’s warchest will only continue to grow and Michael’s wealthy and self-funding opponents aren’t slowing down, so it’s critical that we turn things around before the election heats up in January.
