Starting last Monday, volunteers hosted virtual events in over a dozen states around the country and jammed the phones of Senators standing in the way of an expansive pathway to citizenship.
We drove thousands of calls from volunteers and supporters to the offices of key holdouts in the Senate who have the power to legislate an inclusive pathway to citizenship for millions of undocumented people living under the fear of detention and deportation.
With President Biden’s Build Back Better bill waiting for a vote in the Senate, we made our demands clear: the Senate MUST ignore the recommendation made by the unelected parliamentarian against legislating a pathway to citizenship, and fulfill their promises to protect immigrant lives.
We turned up the heat and jammed the phone lines with our demands, but we need your support to ensure we can keep the pressure on during this critical period.
