John,
We’re doubling down in our fight to pass a historic human needs agenda―paid for by making the rich and corporations pay their fair share in taxes.
Senator Joe Manchin’s announcement that he’s a NO on the Build Back Better Act means we need to increase our pressure campaign to hold him accountable to his constituents.
Already this month, CHN helped organize a bike rally in Charleston, West Virginia to get media attention on the need to pass Build Back Better. We helped local advocates get on the radio, explaining how this historic legislation will make a meaningful difference in the lives of West Virginians. And we launched digital ads at newspapers throughout West Virginia (including in Joe Manchin's hometown) which have prompted people throughout the state to contact Manchin's Senate office to demand he support the Build Back Better Act.
Our grassroots efforts are fighting back against the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which is running ads thanking Manchin for single-handedly attempting to kill the Build Back Better Act.
We can’t give up now!
Rush a contribution today to fight back against the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and keep the pressure on Joe Manchin to vote YES on our human needs agenda, which lowers costs for working families on everything from health care to child care to housing and more!

Here are just a few of the critical provisions included in the Build Back Better Act that Joe Manchin's NO vote would stop:
-
Monthly Child Tax Credit of $250-$300 per child
-
Free Pre-K for all 3- and 4-year-olds
-
Lower child care costs
-
Lower prescription drug prices
-
Expanded health care access
-
The first-ever federal paid leave program
-
Housing affordability
-
And so much more!
Each of these programs is paid for by allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices and by making the rich and corporations pay their fair share.
