The withdrawal from Afghanistan was a disaster that left Americans and our allies abandoned, emboldened our enemies, and made our country less safe.
Hi Friend,
It hasn’t even been half a year since President Biden hastily pulled American troops out of Afghanistan, to the sheer horror and embarrassment of all those watching on the world’s stage.
But President Biden’s sloppy withdrawal from Afghanistan has already had devastating impacts near and far… and far and wide.
It not only affected our brave service members and Gold Star families, but also those Afghans, such as interpreters, who risked their lives to aid our troops and were promised the hope of a better life in America… only to be left behind, their fate at stake.
It also affected the Afghan women and girls who finally had a chance to get an education and a job the last 20 years… but are now being brutalized, abused, and denied their basic humanity, dignity, and liberty.
People are literally starving in the streets, because there’s not enough food to eat or even supplies to sell. The growing humanitarian crisis is causing parents to sell off their children to pay for food, while young girls are being taken from their families as child brides.
But to President Biden, this was a success. A success?! If his administration thinks this is a success, I would hate to see what they view as a failure.
By all accounts, it was an abject failure. And we must hold them accountable.
