This year, we’ve seen attack after attack on a woman’s right to choose in states across the country, including nearly all-out abortion bans in Texas and Mississippi. Every last one of these attacks shares the same goal: overturning Roe v. Wade.

Until we codify Roe into federal law, these dangerous right-wing attempts to erode reproductive rights will only get worse — especially with a conservative majority on the Supreme Court.

That’s why it’s absolutely crucial to pass legislation like the Women’s Health Protection Act, which will federally protect access to safe, legal abortion and put an end to the GOP’s cruel state bans on our reproductive rights. But we have an uphill battle against the GOP’s attacks, and it’s going to take all of us speaking out to defend Roe v. Wade.
