John, I can't say that I've run a marathon before, but that's what this campaign to defeat Sen. Chuck Grassley (R) sort of feels like right now – a marathon, not a sprint. Let me explain.

We're armed with polling data that proves Iowans are ready for change: More than 60% of likely Iowa voters have said they don't want to vote for Sen. Grassley; he's facing record-low approval ratings; and a pollster here in Iowa said he's facing weakness in his poll numbers.

But month after month, all the way until Election Day, it's my job to make the case to those voters that we can secure the change they're hoping for. It's my job to make the case that it's time for Sen. Grassley to go. It's my job to make the case that, together, we can send a public servant to Washington who will actually lift up the voices of working families.
