Domestic Violence Awareness Month
As a survivor of domestic violence from a previous marriage, Domestic Violence Awareness Month means a great deal to me. That is why in Congress, I serve as the Co-Chair of the Bipartisan Working Group to End Domestic Violence. Not only did I survive, I thrived, and I want others to know they can too. As this month comes to a close, I thank all of my colleagues who joined together to wear purple and help bring awareness to domestic violence.
