Giving Tuesday

Dear Friends,

I am writing to ask you to donate today to our year-end challenge match. Contributions to NRCAT support the advocacy work of solitary survivors who are engaged in 18 state and local legislative campaigns, media outreach, and public education to end solitary confinement.

This fall we were excited to launch our new NRCAT U.S. Prisons Program Advisory Council, comprised of eleven distinguished advocates who will shape and amplify NRCAT’s work to end torture in U.S. prisons, informed by their firsthand experiences of solitary confinement and other injustices in the criminal legal system.

In 2022, the Director of NRCAT’s U.S. Prisons Program, Johnny Perez, will work closely with the Advisory Council to expand the NRCAT National Network of Solitary Survivors to provide support and encouragement for solitary survivors who are seeking peer learning, collegiality, opportunities for state advocacy, and training.

Your donation today of $25 becomes $50, $50 becomes $100. Your support will expand NRCAT’s ability to develop and amplify the voices of these emerging leaders nationwide as they join NRCAT in organizing campaigns that will end solitary confinement in U.S. prisons and jails.

In gratitude for your support,

Rev. Ron Stief
Executive Director
