John, I have an end-of-year challenge for you: just chip in $1. We talk all the time about big goals with big dollar amounts. But the thing my team needs right now is for more people to be invested in this fight for fair maps going into 2022.

The number of supporters fueling this movement is a far better indicator of success than any dollar amount in a moment like this. It’s always public involvement or the voice of the people that strikes fear into the hearts of our opposition. It’s why they want to limit your access to the ballot box, reduce public hearings during redistricting, put up obstacles to comment on mapmaking and ultimately eliminate competitive elections. We can’t let them get away with these attacks on the redistricting processes.

2022 is right around the corner. As a deputy states director at All On The Line, I have to make hard decisions about where our staff will spend their time and energy next year.
