Dear John,

Have you seen Ava DuVernay's #HomeSweetHome on Peacock TV? Each episode follows two families who swap homes and offers a peek inside the lived experiences of people from different faiths and backgrounds. Don’t miss Episode 9, It is Going to Take Lifetimes, which features the Salim family, members of the MPAC and New Horizon School families. You can stream the episode on Peacock TV or online with a free profile.

We are so excited that we had an opportunity to connect the Salim family to the creator of the show. MPAC’s mission is to change hearts and minds by portraying authentic stories of American Muslims. Home Sweet Home’s effort to shatter stereotypes and build bridges of understanding is a beautiful example of what one might experience if they had the opportunity to walk in another’s shoes and witness the beauty of the diversity of America through the lens of others.

Help us continue our work toward the representation of authentic American Muslim voices, which is made possible by your support. Donate today to fuel this work.
