Robocall scams are out of control: Earlier this year, there were on average nearly 2,000 robocalls per SECOND! Americans need relief from these overwhelming and dangerous calls.

Right now, there's a bill on the floor of the Senate that would help stop them – but Gary needs to build grassroots momentum to get it passed. So please, will you sign on as a citizen co-sponsor before 11:59 p.m. tonight to show the Senate that you demand action on robocall scammers?

Friend: I'm thrilled to share that my bill increasing the penalties for robocall scams has advanced in the Senate! This is a major opportunity to crack down on robocalls, which is why I'm about to ask you to become a citizen co-sponsor of this bill. I hope you'll give me a moment to explain why.

You see, robocall scams aren't just a nuisance – they're dangerous. The average robocall victim loses nearly $200! And, as you may have noticed, Americans are getting a LOT of these calls. In 2019, over 1.7 billion robocalls were placed to my constituents in Michigan alone – that's roughly 170 robocalls per person!

It's absolutely unacceptable that scammers are getting away with stealing people's hard-earned money. We must take real action to stop this crisis.

That's why I've been working hard to pass my bill that would increase penalties to $20,000 per violation and $2 million for those organizing the illegal campaigns.

But, as I'm sure you know, getting any bill through the gridlock in our Senate is a challenge. That's where you come in, friend. I need another 3,283 people to sign on as citizen co-sponsors of my bill to tell my colleagues in the Senate that this bill must pass.
