When I first decided to run for United States Senate, I wasn’t sure what to expect.

Yes, I have run for statewide office before and won twice, but this is an even bigger type of contest. These Senate races are just so expensive.

But then, literally MINUTES after I announced, Adam, a student from Morgantown chipped in $25. Not two minutes later, a higher ed administrator from Winston-Salem gave $100. In the next minute, Anna from Durham, a social worker, gave $50... and we were off.

Since then almost 20,000 people have chipped into my campaign. It’s humbling.

But with our FEC fundraising deadline just days away, we have our biggest challenge to-date in this race. And it’s why I have to ask:

I am humbly asking if you can PLEASE make a contribution to my campaign before our final FEC fundraising deadline before the election year comes to an end. This is so important.

I am so proud of the way we are funding this campaign. But it will take ALL of us doing our part if we’re going to win. And that’s the goal. To flip this seat and win.
