Senator Joe Manchin went on
Fox News this morning to announce that he would vote AGAINST the Build
Back Better Act.

The people delivered Democrats the House, the Senate, and the White House
to push forward bold, progressive legislation to finally center people and
working families.
We cannot allow one Senator from West Virginia to obstruct the President’s
agenda — to obstruct the people’s agenda. The cost is too high, and our
most vulnerable communities will pay the price.

fight isn’t over. Can you make an urgent $3 contribution to
help me keep up the pressure and show my colleagues in the Senate that our
communities demand action to get the Build Back Better Act on President
Biden’s desk?

Joe Manchin said Build Back Better is a “mammoth bill.” He’s right — it’s
a mammoth bill to address mammoth hurt. Our families and communities have
been in crisis — from generations of underinvestment, policy violence, and
an ongoing pandemic.
As policymakers, it is our duty to respond with urgency and deliver
policies that will have a meaningful and tangible impact on people’s
lives. We cannot cede to a Senator who has never negotiated in good faith,
and who has refused to put the health and well-being of our communities
ahead of special interests.
That’s why I held the line to pass the Build Back Better Act, and now we
must use the full weight of our movement to advance urgent, life-saving
legislation — this fight is not over.
[ [link removed] ]If you’re in this fight with me, make a $3 contribution
right now to help our movement keep up the pressure on the Senate to pass
critical investments in paid family leave, eldercare, childcare, climate
action, and more — now.
I won’t stop fighting to advance this critical legislation that is
responsive to the needs and demands of the people. Our communities have
waited far too long, and the people deserve nothing less.
In solidarity,
Ayanna
