Here's why it matters more than ever before (and what you can do): It's no secret that our country is deeply divided, and Democrats have made it pretty clear that if they get more power, they'll use it to fundamentally transform America into a socialist nation. Democrats have a pathway to taking the Senate because Republicans hold 22 of the 34 Senate seats that are up for grabs next year. This means Democrats only need to steal four seats to take the majority and gain complete control over Congress.
