We don’t want you to panic -- the sky isn’t falling -- but we are behind on our mid-month fundraising goal. And reaching our goal is vital to defending Elaine’s seat against the far-right Republicans running against her.

Will you chip in $25 or more today to get us back on track before our mid-month deadline tonight at midnight?

If we don’t hit our mid month goal, it could lead to a dangerous domino effect -- like not meeting our end-of-year FEC goal; not posting strong fundraising numbers; a slew of outside and dark money spending coming in to back GOP opponents; Elaine’s seat getting flipped. You get the idea.

This is obviously the worst-case scenario, but we need to be prepared for anything, especially in a race as competitive as ours -- last cycle, national Republicans spent $3 million trying to unseat Elaine, and we’re anticipating an even bigger investment from them this time around.

Can we count on you to chip in today to help us reach Elaine’s mid-month fundraising goal before midnight tonight? We wouldn’t ask if it weren’t critically important.
