Dear John,
I’m Ryan Hill, the Fraser Institute’s Associate Director of Education Programs.
… did you know we held over 50 programs and initiatives for students and teachers this year?
Thanks to our small but dedicated 4-person education programs team, this year have we hosted 30 webinars for students which were attended by nearly 7,500 students.
We’ve also hosted 17 free teacher webinars this year, attended by nearly 600 teachers.
And that’s not all…
We provided hundreds of Economic Edukits to teachers from across the country to help them implement economics lessons into their classrooms, hosted our annual student essay contest with cash prizes and our student internship program.
Our seminars are never boring. Recent topics have included The Tyranny of Experts, The Economics of Harry Potter, and Is Capitalism Sustainable?
Our seminars are also often hosted by award-winning authors and experts, including John Stossel, Matt Ridley, William Easterly, and Deirdre McCloskey just to name a few.
As a result of our efforts, over the coming year alone, over 86,000 Canadian students will benefit from being taught economic principles because of our programs.
We have created a vast network of students right across Canada. Our attendees often remain in contact with us throughout their careers, turning to us for information on policy debates and discussions of the day!
Perhaps best of all John, we offer all of these courses and materials for free.
Because we don’t accept government funding in order to maintain our independence and objectivity, we rely on supporters like you to fund our entire operation.
If you’re able to, would you consider making a donation today?
With your help, we’ll be able to continue educating the next generation of Canadians about the importance of free markets, entrepreneurship, and individual choice!
Thank you so much for your support.
Sincerely,
Ryan Hill
