Hi John,
Tomorrow is Election Day across the country and we’re writing to make sure you have a plan to vote. Local elections are incredibly important, especially for those of us fighting for gun violence prevention. Years of inaction at the federal level have left gun responsibility policies up to state and local lawmakers.
We need to elect candidates at every level of government who will stand up to the gun lobby and fight for a future free from gun violence. We have endorsed dozens of gun responsibility champions in Washington state. See:

If you’re looking for gun violence prevention candidates in other states, Giffords is a great place to start. See:

Now that you know who to vote for, make sure you make your plan to vote!
Here’s what you need to do:
* Determine whether you’re voting in person or by mail.
* Find your polling place: [link removed]
* Decide when you’re voting. Before work, at lunch, after school, etc.
* Figure out how you’ll get there. Will you drive? Can you walk? Take the bus?
* Make sure you have everything you need to vote. 35 states have voter ID laws in effect that require or request voters to bring ID to the polls. See: [link removed]
Thanks for being an engaged citizen,
Stephanie Ervin
