Friend,
Democrats lost ground in Texas’s Rio Grande Valley in 2020. Republicans are spending millions to flip South Texas red and bring Latino voters to their side. We absolutely can’t let that happen.
That’s why we just launched a new ballot campaign in the RGV to guarantee a $15 minimum wage to city employees. We are going to register new voters, drive turnout in this Democratic stronghold, and deliver progressive change to a community that needs our support.
Democrats can’t afford to lose in the Rio Grande Valley. Can you pitch in $25 today to help Democrats win in the RGV? We can’t afford to lose ground in South Texas. [[link removed]]

Julie Oliver, our Executive Director, announcing our new campaign in Mission, Texas
For too long, politicians have overlooked Texas’s Rio Grande Valley. Republicans have played politics with the border and Democrats have taken the community for granted at the polls.
A lack of investment has left workers in the RGV with some of the lowest wages in the state. That’s why we’re putting a measure on the ballot to guarantee a $15/hour minimum wage for city employees. This campaign will help us register thousands of new voters, boost turnout, and ensure the city’s workers are paid a living wage.
If Democrats lose in the RGV, we can never defeat Greg Abbott, Ted Cruz, and other Republicans attacking workers at the state level. Now is the time to invest in organizing in these communities. Can you pitch in what you can afford to protect and expand our victories in the RGV? [[link removed]]
