Hi Friend,

We don’t get a ton of opportunities to tell you that we appreciate your support! As we close out this year, we want you to get to know us a little better. You hear about our advocacy, media, and communications work all the time. We wanted to change up our end-of-year fundraising efforts by getting candid about our personal lives and who we are outside of the important work we do each day. 

2021 was an absolutely incredible year for me, despite (and maybe even because of) the unique challenges of the last two years. With the 2020 election (mostly) in the rearview mirror, I finally had the opportunity to refocus my creative energy on making music–a lifelong passion of mine. After almost two DECADES away from something I’ve always held dear to me, this year felt like a homecoming, creatively. It’s good to be back with a guitar in my hands, and I’m cautiously optimistic that 2022 will see me performing again.

My family and I are also incredibly busy working on our new permanent home! I love being able to make improvements for my family, and I especially enjoy that we’re finally able to make the place we live into our home.

Speaking of family, my daughter Isabelle turned FOUR this year. Even typing these words is somewhat surreal–it seems like just yesterday that she was escaping her swaddling blanket and learning to turn over. I’m so incredibly lucky to have such a vibrant, hilarious and happy kid, and every day is an absolute adventure being by her side as she learns about her world and grows.

With so much change this year, I can’t wait to see what 2022 brings my way. I’ll be hard at work making sure Nevadans get a fair shake and the opportunities they deserve, holding people accountable when they don’t do right by us, and doing everything I can to make Nevada the state that we ALL deserve.  That is why I am asking you to pitch in for our End of Year Fundraising push!
