Africa & Europe
Pray for the trial in Kenya for the killing of an IJM staff member, client and driver in 2016. The last defense witness is testifying, and once that concludes we will enter the final phase of the trial. Final submissions will be presented to the judge and a date set for judgement. Pray for all involved in the case, for health and for no delays as the trial moves forward. Pray for the families of the deceased, for peace as they wait for closure in the case.
Latin America
Please join the IJM Bolivia team in prayer for their government relations team. As the team is in a season of realignment, pray for guidance and fresh ideas for engaging with the government to make strategic relationships that will help as many victims as possible see justice in their cases.
South Asia
Ask for God’s protection over millions of families who will migrate to work in South Asian brick factories in the next few months. The brick-making season kicks off around this time due to drier weather, leading to an increase of recruitment and trafficking into forced labor at brick kilns. Pray that local authorities could spot trafficking and stop criminals before they exploit needy families, and pray that IJM and our partners would be extra vigilant to rescue families from dangerous situations.
Southeast Asia
Please pray for the Philippines after being hit by super typhoon Odette. Pray specifically for the Visayas and Northern Mindanao areas that were severely impacted. Please pray for our staff in Cebu, our clients, and our partners as they are recovering from damages and loss.
