Hi John, Thank you so much for your continued support of Stop Handgun Violence. As an organization, we depend on supporters like you to help us continue to save lives and make Massachusetts a national model for gun violence prevention. With your help, we filed legislation to stop the manufacture of assault weapons in Massachusetts- firearms that are already prohibited from being sold here. Massachusetts-made firearms, that cannot be sold here, were used in Wisconsin by Kyle Rittenhouse to kill two protestors. They were also used in the Aurora movie theater shooting and the Parkland school shooting. With your support, we will work to pass this bill this session to ensure that Massachusetts does not export terror. You helped us save lives this year. Through the generosity of our supporters, we were able to continue our public awareness campaign about the life-saving Massachusetts Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) law. You can learn more by visiting the website: MAERPO.org. This year we successfully advocated for $50 million of funding for gun violence prevention programs allocated from the Massachusetts Federal American Rescue Plan funding. We could not have succeeded without your help. But we’re not done yet. In the coming year, we will work to replicate the success we have had in Massachusetts in other states. We will continue to fight for evidenced based gun laws, both in Massachusetts and federally. We will continue to support the advocacy of local students fighting for a better future. And we will educate our elected officials and the public about how they can be part of the movement to end gun violence. Please donate today to help us continue this life saving work. Thank you!
