When I launched my first campaign for Congress, and to this day, one of the most important issues I hear about over and over again is healthcare. The people of Central Virginia are paying too much, many need access, and prescription drug prices are too high.

I’m proud to say we’re making progress.

My bill, the Public Disclosure of Drug Discounts Act, passed the House of Representatives with an overwhelming vote of 403-0. It will add transparency to the confusing system of prescription drug pricing and will lead to cost savings for families across our district.

Now, while I’m doing everything I can to help Virginia families, I’m going to ask for your help.

Our re-election campaign is one of the most competitive in the country. In order for me to stay in Congress and keep working on the issues that matter most to Virginians, I need to keep my seat. We’re on track to enter 2020 in a strong position, but this weekend Vice President Mike Pence came to our district to 'turn up the heat' on me, and last week national Republican groups launched another wave of attack ads.
