Dear John,

I wrote to you a couple of weeks ago about Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and the recent announcement about the RNC's launch of an LGBT Pride Coalition. The earlier email urged conservatives across the country to contact their state's RNC members about this and many of you took action. As a result, your voices were heard! We have received many emails, text messages, and phone calls from officials in the party because of your efforts, confirming that you made an impact. In fact, the Texas state GOP issued a public statement of opposition to this new RNC effort.

I also worked in conjunction with other leaders across the country and together we drafted a letter outlining why this decision cannot be allowed to stand.

Because of these efforts and the committed work of people like you, I had multiple conversations with Ronna, which led to some positive, albeit not perfect outcomes. Ronna recently responded and sent a letter on behalf of the RNC stating the party will remain committed to the party platform which has strong positions on religious liberty, family values, and parental rights. The letter also states the party will not be working in partnership or coalition with groups that will undermine conservative principles or the platform and that Ronna opposes any embrace of radical agendas. Further, Ronna has pledged to form a Conservative Advisory Working Group on the Platform which will be made up of conservative leaders who will be able to speak into the next party platform which will be adopted in 2024. You can read the full letter here.

Based on this and the commitments that have been made, most of our concerns have now been addressed in substantive ways. We are continuing to work to address other issues of concern, like the Left's identity politics, which should find no safe harbor in the Republican party.

Should the need to contact your state RNC leadership arise again, we will reach out to you right away. Thank you for standing with us and making your voice heard on behalf of faith, family, and freedom!

Standing (Eph. 6:13),
