Folks, investing in early childhood education will pay off for children and families today — and for generations to come.

The truth is that, right now, there’s not an even playing field. Far too many children start kindergarten behind their classmates. We can fix that with the right investments at the right time.

That’s why — on top of the Build Back Better Act’s major investments in universal pre-K — I’m leading my New Mexico Democratic colleagues in introducing legislation to invest about $127 million each year into New Mexico’s early childhood education and $84.7 million into K-12 schools.

This would be a game changer for our economy, children, families, and future.

We can make this happen with the approval of Congress now and New Mexico voters next year.

Will you help us get this process started by becoming a citizen co-sponsor of our early childhood education legislation? Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive.

BECOME A CITIZEN CO-SPONSOR

By making these investments in early childhood education, we can create a more equitable education system and set more kids up for success.

Thank you for your support.
