John,
Kansas Republicans are pointing fingers at each other over who's to blame for a failed voter restriction law that will cost taxpayers almost $2 million in legal fees.
A failed lawsuit that Kris Kobach started -- and AG Derek Schmidt and Secretary of State Scott Schwab continued -- has been racking up the bills for years. Now, thanks to Kansas Republicans' political games, Kansans have to pay the price.
Kansans shouldn't be held responsible for paying for these lawmakers' mistakes, when the law in question was based on unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud and simply served to dismantle many Kansans' right to vote.
