Over the past several years, the Epstein and Maxwell case has captured the eye of world news. Our hearts ache for each person who was victimized by Epstein and his accomplices. We are eager to see survivors heard and acknowledged by the criminal justice system.

There's actually quite a bit about this case that echoes the experiences of the children we have served in our programs, children whose traffickers were not elite or famous.

In the Love146 gift catalog, you’ll find so many tangible ways to support children affected by trafficking, and you can do it in honor of someone you care about. You can give this gift in honor of a loved one, and if you like, include a personalized e-card or print a card.

One popular gift being sent is proving a child with a thereuputic connection with nature and animals.
Nature can have a hugely healing impact. Our safe home has a garden, a farm, and even sting-less bee keeping. Connecting with plants and animals, children can experience healing and they can also learn to be nurtured and to grow.

Right now, every $1 you give is worth $2! Gifts are being matched up to $50,000 for a total of $100,000 raised. When you give to Love146, you’re providing holistic care to children recovering from trafficking, journeying alongside them for as long as it takes. As a donor, you’re also preventing trafficking by helping youth understand vulnerability, spot the signs of trafficking, identify healthy support systems, and learn skills they need to stay safe.

Rob shared in a recent video message about days were it seems too much; as he says,"it feels relentless." The word "relentless" feels like mostly a negative word; on those days, usually what feels relentless is the negative stuff; the suffering in the world.

But we know that’s not the whole story. There’s a positive side to the relentlessness in our world, too. We look around and see relentless perseverance relentless compassion, and relentless commitment to children.

It's a season where we're asking a lot, and in this video message from Rob he wants to say something unexpected: "DON’T give..." What the heck does that mean? Watch the video below to find out.

Erin Williamson, Love146’s Vice President of Global Programs & Strategy, spoke with Connecticut Eyewitness News 3 about traffickers and social media platforms. Erin shared real examples of how grooming online can occur. For example, hashtags for your favorite artist or your school, they are all innocent enough, but it can be how traffickers can find our kids and start a conversation.

Growing and learning together in the anti-trafficking field is critical. We were able to present last month at Shared Hope's JuST conference, and share authentic and tangible lessons learned about addressing race in our work. When the session is available online, you'll be the first to know.

Earlier this month, we got to speak with our friends at Dressember over Instagram Live about our work.

In case you missed it, Dressember is hosting their annual style challenge where men and women wear a dress or tie every day this month. A portion of the funds raised will be a grant specifically for our programs in the Philippines.

If you or someone you love has ever been the victim of a crime, you know how critical it is that they receive immediate support and services. This week in Connecticut, Love146 and six other victim service organizations signed a letter urging Governor Lamont to support victims of crime by temporarily filling the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) gap in funding to ensure services, including those supporting children victimized in trafficking, remain intact and uninterrupted.
