Dear John,
With just a short time left until our $200,000 Holiday Match Challenge ends, I'm going to make a personal ask.
In honor of our community impacted by Alzheimer's — perhaps someone who has just learned their parent is living with Alzheimer's disease, or someone providing care to a family member, or someone who has just received a diagnosis and is looking for answers and hope — will you please donate now, while your gift can still go twice as far in the fight to end Alzheimer's?
Opportunities like this don't come around every day. Our generous donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, has pledged to match all gifts from wonderful friends like you, up to a total of $200,000 — but only if we raise the same amount by December 31.
Our match donor's gift will support the Tau Pipeline Enabling Program (T-PEP), a funding initiative to accelerate drug development breakthroughs that could help mitigate the toxic effects of tau protein "tangles" in the brain. Because tau tangles are implicated in a number of neurodegenerative disorders, the research made possible by T-PEP could potentially benefit individuals living with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, frontotemporal dementia and more.
Can we count on your support today, while you can double your impact on our work to provide compassionate care and support and accelerate vital dementia research? Please don't miss this opportunity — make your first gift now.
John, I'm asking you personally, because the ways people in our Alzheimer's community experience the holidays is also very personal.
A person living with Alzheimer's may feel a special sense of loss during the holidays because of the changes they have experienced. At the same time, caregivers may feel overwhelmed by maintaining traditions while providing care and — while COVID-19 concerns persist — adhering to safety precautions.
I know your commitment to our vision of a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia is also very personal. Please help us reach our $200,000 Holiday Match Challenge goal with your first generous gift now, while it can go twice as far.

John, your generous donation, especially during this season of hope, is vital to furthering our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
Thank you in advance for taking advantage of this opportunity and contributing today, while your holiday gift can make twice the impact.
With deep appreciation,
Donna McCullough
Chief Mission and Field Operations Officer
P.S. Happy holiday season to you and yours — and thank you for your interest in our work. Please join with us today by making your first gift now, knowing every dollar you contribute can have twice the impact on our vital work.
