1. PERKINS: NC Values Tami Fitzgerald interview with @FRCdc's Tony Perkins over the vulgar books in our schools

Yesterday, on Washington Watch with Tony Perkins, executive director of the NC Values Coalition, Tami Fitzgerald, shared what’s been happening in Wake County after parents found over 100 books containing obscene content and filed criminal complaints against the Wake County School Board.

As Gateway Pundit reported, "Parents in Wake County, North Carolina have filed charges against school board officials for the lewd content that they have discovered in children’s school books." The extent of vulgarity depicted in these books are so extreme, local news outlets have had to blur and censor images of their pages. Yet, somehow, these works are supposed to be appropriate for elementary children.

2. NATIONAL CATHOLIC REGISTER: FDA Allows Women to Procure Abortion Pills by Mail

"The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) lifted restrictions on mifepristone, a drug approved for use in medical abortions, on Thursday.

The decision authorizes doctors to prescribe the drugs online and mail the pills, allowing women to perform early abortions — up to 10 weeks of gestation — without leaving their homes. The FDA first approved mifepristone, which is paired with another drug called misoprostol, for earlier abortions in 2000."

Abortion supporters have pointed to medical abortions as a kind of workaround or backup plan for women to access abortion as states restrict abortion and the U.S. Supreme Court considers a challenge to Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that legalized abortion nationwide. Pro-life groups stress that this type of abortion is not safe for the woman, let alone for her unborn child.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control’s most recent “Abortion Surveillance” report, for the year 2019, “early medical abortions” made up 42.3% of abortions that year.

Lila Rose, the president of the pro-life group Live Action, called Thursday’s decision “horrific,” while the March for Life predicted that it will “lead to more lives lost to abortion and will increase the number of mothers who suffer physical and psychological harm from chemical abortions.”

The Susan B. Anthony List also condemned the FDA’s decision under the Biden administration.

3. BREITBART: Pro-Life groups respond to SCOTUS decision to let Texas Heartbeat Act stand as litigation continues: Life is winning

"Pro-life organizations that for decades have been working to overturn Roe v. Wade, which made abortion on demand the law of the land, are praising the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Whole Women’s Health v. Jackson to let the Texas law stand as litigation continues."

4. FOX NEWS: Penn swimmer latest example of trans athlete dominating female sports

"A transgender swimmer’s record-breaking wins at the University of Pennsylvania have renewed concern over the future of women’s sports.

Lia Thomas, a transgender student at the Ivy League university, dominated the 500-yard freestyle preliminaries and finals at the Zippy Invitational at the University of Akron this month. Thomas earned a winning time of 4:34.06 in the finals, breaking the Ivy League record, and set new school records in the 1,650-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle competitions.

Thomas previously competed as a man for three years on the school's men's team. Thomas' success on the women’s team has renewed criticism over allowing transgender women to compete against biological females.

Even some of Thomas' own teammates are angry about what they see as a lack of fairness. 'Most of the women are too afraid to speak out against this. But they must,' tweeted Megyn Kelly."

'"If Michael Phelps began competing as a transgender woman, all hell would break loose – so why is nothing being done to stop trans athletes like Lia Thomas from destroying women's sport?" tweeted Piers Morgan."

WEEKLY PRAYER: LIFE

LORD, we recognize that you are Sovereign over all creation. We recognize you made man from the dust, and in your mercy, you crowned creation with man and woman made in your image. What a wonder it is that you would bestow upon us this blessing and responsibility! LORD, may we not take this blessing for granted. We pray that this great responsibility and dignity may motivate us to love You, our neighbors, and our families more.

LORD, may we as a culture truly see and believe that children are a blessing from the LORD—born or unborn; able or disabled. All children should have an opportunity to experience the liberty of life. LORD, make us your vehicle to change our culture into one that cherishes and protects life. Keep at the forefront of our minds our responsibilities to respect, cherish, and serve the youngest and oldest in our society.

Finally, LORD, we pray even further for our children. Across our state, country, and world, an entire generation of youth have seen their lives and education ruptured by the pandemic and its closing of schools. Father, as a result so many of these children are not only wounded by the quality of their education, but by a likely onslaught of mental illness brought about by social isolation.

To make matters worse, the few precious hours and resources that our school systems have is being wasted away promoting books and curriculums that fill our children's minds with filth. LORD, bring them hope and healing as only You can.

"At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, 'Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?' He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: 'Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me. If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.'" (Matthew 18:1-6)

Amen
