I never wanted to be a politician. I never thought I would be a politician. But when guys like Kevin McCarthy are lying to people every day, it starts to tick you off.
When I announced my intentions to run against him, I knew it would be an uphill battle.
But the people of the Central Valley deserve better than Kevin McCarthy. So many of us have gone years just accepting that we’re stuck with him.
We have a choice. I’m running for Congress because this district and our people are worth fighting for. I’m a U.S. Navy Veteran, a working-class guy, a Democrat, and I’m not taking a dime from corporations because it matters who’s behind this campaign — and I’m proud to have thousands of folks like you who believe in this movement. Chip in a few bucks if you can and help defeat one of the most dangerous Republicans in Congress.

We don’t need to settle for someone like Kevin McCarthy.
I love this district. I love our people. I will never give up on us, or hang the people I represent out to dry in favor of more power and influence elsewhere.
Instead of fighting for the people of his district, Kevin has turned his back on us. Here’s the thing about me: I can’t stand to watch someone, who has so much power to make a change, do nothing for everyday people.
Many folks tell me this race isn’t worth it or winnable — if no one steps up, Kevin McCarthy will continue to do whatever he wants and never face the consequences of his actions. This is our time to change all of that.
If you’re with me — with all of us — in this fight, chip in and help make history by defeating Kevin McCarthy and bringing real leadership to Congress.
