Important update regarding the fight for reproductive rights, John.
The Supreme Court's refusal to take action means we can expect to see even more attacks on reproductive care. Abortion access across the country continues to hang by a thread with 19 states introducing 106 abortion restrictions this year alone -- the highest recorded since Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973.
To make matters worse, the Supreme Court heard a challenge to a Mississippi anti-abortion law earlier this month that could decide the fate of Roe. With a 6-3 conservative majority on the Court, our reproductive rights are in clear danger.
This is not the time to get complacent and hope the courts will protect abortion access. We need Roe codified into law and ensure that every person has access to the reproductive care they need.
As the only pro-choice woman doctor in Congress, Kim is fighting back against any attacks on our reproductive care. That's why yesterday, she was endorsed by Planned Parenthood Action Fund. And Kim was proud to help pass the Women's Health Protection Act in the House to protect Roe, but she wants to know you're with her in this important fight.
If you agree we need to codify Roe v. Wade, add your name right away to stand with Kim in the fight to defend reproductive rights >>
Thanks,
Team Schrier
