Corporations and their executives want us to believe that they have to choose between raising wages for their workers or keeping prices down for consumers.

But that’s a false choice.

This year, profits at our country’s biggest companies surpassed $3 TRILLION , and S&P 500 companies spent a record-breaking $234 BILLION on stock buybacks in Q3 of this year alone.

Prices are high because corporations raise them, to reward themselves with massive salaries, bonuses, and stock buybacks, while workers’ wages have been stagnant for years. Instead of pretending they have to raise prices in order to afford raising workers' wages, they could try doing fewer stock buybacks.

We don’t have to choose between low prices and a livable wage for workers. We can build an economy that recognizes the dignity of all work -- with a living wage that allows workers to keep up with the cost of living and raising a family.

Add your name to mine if you support Democrats’ efforts to build an economy that works for everyone -- not just corporations and those at the top. >> [[link removed]]

Democrats are building back our country and our economy by empowering working families.

The House passed legislation that would keep costs down for working families without increasing inflation. It would extend the Child Tax Credit -- the biggest tax cut for working families ever -- and lower the cost of child care, preschool, housing, and drug prices.

Workers are finally gaining a little power back in our economy. Now, we need to stay on this trajectory.

Will you add your name to mine and show your support for building an economy that rewards workers -- not corporations and Wall Street? [[link removed]]
