We reached out earlier this week with information on the upcoming Senate votes on the Build Back Better Act — the strongest climate bill in U.S. history, which will put our country on the path to cut climate pollution in half by 2030.

Friend — news on the votes is developing quickly. It appears that Sen. Joe Manchin — the final holdout among Democrats, and the 50th vote needed to pass the bill — is still in negotiations with President Biden over a tax credit included in the bill. The Senate vote is now expected when Senators return in two weeks in the new year.

Bottom line: there is an incredibly urgent need to keep pressure up to ensure that the entire suite of transformational environmental provisions in the bill move forward. We have to keep our campaign going.
