Pundits told us we couldn't win last January's runoff elections and take back the Senate for Democrats – but together, we proved that with hope, hard work, and the people on our side, anything is possible.

But here’s the reality: My last race was just the beginning. 

Since our historic victory, I’ve been fighting to deliver on our bold vision for the future: good jobs, affordable health care and equal opportunity for all our children. But Republican politicians are fighting tooth and nail to block our progressive priorities – and now the GOP has made me their top target for defeat in next year's midterm elections.

That's right, friend: It might feel like our historic victory was just yesterday, but my last race was what you call a "special election," so I have to turn around and immediately run for reelection in 2022. And unfortunately, the GOP is laser-focused on tearing me down – because experts say defeating me would hand Senate control right back to Mitch McConnell. 

If we're going to keep delivering for the people and advancing President Biden's agenda, we need to keep my seat blue and expand our Senate majority – not throw it away. But I can't do that without your help, friend. So please: Will you give $5 more or more now to fight back against GOP attacks, defend Georgia's Democratic seat and power our movement to victory again in 2022?

To everyone who's helped fuel this campaign: Thank you for believing in this movement.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you as a proud American and a son of Georgia, with roots planted deeply in Georgian soil.

I thank you as a child who grew up in Kayton Homes public housing of Savannah, the 11th of 12 children; as a proud graduate of Morehouse College; and as the pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church, the spiritual home of Martin Luther King Jr. and John Lewis.

And I thank you as the son of my mother, Verlene. Because my mama's 82-year-old hands – the hands that used to pick somebody else's cotton – went to the polls last January and picked her youngest son to be a United States senator.

I know that my story could only happen here, and I'm honored to serve in the Senate every single day. 

But while I'm fighting for the people, national Republicans have unfortunately proven they will do, say and spend whatever it takes to defeat me and take back the Senate. Now CNN is calling me the most vulnerable Democrat up for reelection, and Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell and the entire Republican establishment are coming after me as their top target. 

Shady GOP super PACs are spending MILLIONS to smear my record – and their attacks have made our race neck-and-neck . That means our slim Senate majority and our entire progressive agenda are at serious risk, so I'm asking directly:

Will you give $5 or more now to keep Georgia blue, defend my seat and protect our Democratic Senate majority?
