** Combatting Election Sabotage: Where We Are Now and Where We’re Going ([link removed])

We all know the importance of an accurate count after ballots are cast. To achieve this most critical objective, election officials in every locality follow a defined set of steps designed to reach a complete and accurate vote count. These multistep processes build in numerous checks and safeguards to ensure electoral integrity. In the coming months, CLC will release more resources in response to undemocratic efforts to undermine the will of voters and share legal and policy solutions we can use to ensure every voice is heard in our elections and make the promise of democracy real for us all.

To start things off, we’ve compiled an explainer, “What Happens To My Ballot After It Is Cast?,” which lays out the process election administrators undertake to reach a final vote tally. More complete knowledge can help voters feel confident in the electoral process as it unfolds, resist disinformation and recognize when the post-election process has truly gone awry.
