Friend - Let me break down the parliamentarian’s latest suggestion

Earlier today, the Senate Parliamentarian (an appointed adviser, not a rule maker) recommended against a proposal from Senate Democrats to include immigration protections for millions in the Senate’s version of the Build Back Better package. But she’s not the final decision maker, Senate Dems are!

The power is in the hands of Senate Democrats and the Biden Administration to deliver permanent protections to millions in our immigrant communities. We will not allow Democrats to cower behind today’s news or make excuses about the path forward.

Dems must disregard the parliamentarian’s bad advice and act to protect our undocumented community members now! Can you send a letter to your senator and demand they reinstate citizenship in the Build Back Better?

Instead of the bold action we were promised, we’ve seen over 1.2 million people deported or expelled under the Biden Administration. Each day without a pathway to citizenship is another day that our undocumented loved ones remain at risk for deportation. Dems must act to protect our undocumented community members now - they have the power!
