Halfway & Worried
I just got an update from my staff and I'm getting worried.
We're halfway through our critical year-end fundraising campaign, and we're well short of our goal.
Even worse, donations plummeted today. I know there's still time to make up lost ground, but the further we fall behind the harder it will be to recover.
My friends, I cannot stress enough just how important your support is right now.
Like many non-profit organizations, we raise a significant portion of our annual budget in the month of December. But the figures I am looking at suggest we're going to miss our projected budget needs.
I hope and pray that isn't case given the tremendous battles that lie ahead.
But our work is not possible with your support. We don't get government grants. We don't have billionaire benefactors or friends in Hollywood.
You make it happen!
That may sound trite, but it's true. We rely entirely on friends like you chipping in whatever you can!
I am extremely grateful to everyone who has generously stepped up in recent days. But I wouldn't keep asking if wasn't absolutely necessary.
