John,
For FAR too long, our so-called ‘justice’ system has used incarceration as the answer to people experiencing poverty, going through mental health crises, and struggling with substance abuse disorders.
It's DISGRACEFUL.
It's UNJUST.
We can’t undo the harm that has been done in the past — but by electing more justice champions who know you can’t get well in a cell, we can change the future.
With your help, we have elected DAs who are champions for harm reduction and have already done incredible work for the people they represent.
Instead of criminalizing people, our elected DAs have worked hard to invest in treatment, in restorative justice, and in diversion programs that provide real help to the people who need it.
John, this MUST be the future of how we address these systemic issues that result from decades of racist, corrupt, carceral policies.
The best way we can create this change is by electing more leaders who will end those policies and instead, focus on harm reduction as a means of community care.
Thank you for being with us in this fight,
Real Justice
