Vanguard, Blackrock, JP Morgan, State Street, Berkshire Hathaway and Geode Capital Investment own the solar panel and windmill companies, but also own the oil companies. They make more profit from oil, so the country won't be converting to 100% clean energy any time soon. We're all screwed. There's no one to call because these same investment firms own the phone companies, too, as well as 95% of the media all and the social media platforms and even most government officials.

There is some really scary rhetoric flying around the government and the media regarding Russia and Ukraine. This is a really valuable interview with former Marine Corp intelligence officer and UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter on Moderate Rebels about US and Russian involvement in Ukraine.

Vallejo police officer Jarrett Tonn has been fired for violating department policy when he shot and killed Sean Monterrosa in 2020. Tonn is the first officer fired for killing someone wrongfully in Vallejo in 20 years, despite 18 fatal shootings since 2010 when Vallejo had the highest rate of fatal shootings in northern California. No thanks to a corrupt district attorney in Solano County, Tonn will not face any charges.

The property a proposed homeless navigation center was slated to be built on in South Vallejo was found to be contaminated, apparently from the previous dry cleaning business. Because of increasing homelessness, a tent city has formed. California's Project RoomKey provided hotel rooms for medically frail people experiencing homelessness during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the end to the Vallejo project, on January 5th, will see nearly sixty medically vulnerable people suddenly without any permanent housing option. There simply is not enough housing or shelter beds available in Vallejo. Please sign this petition asking the Vallejo City Council to approve a temporary use permit for Hope Village.
Vallejo City Council will vote on 12/20 to decide the fate of Hope Village. The Project RoomKey group asks you to please email and/or make a public comment to ask them to issue a temporary use permit for Hope Village. Please find emails and email template below:

Dear City Council Members,
I am writing to express my support for the development of Hope Village. The project is aiming to continue necessary services and support safe shelter for those at Project RoomKey who will have no housing option when the project ends on January 5th.
The organizations supporting this project have been working closely with the participants at Project Roomkey for nearly 2 years and have a clear plan for the site development, maintenance, and supportive services. Once these participants are successfully housed, Hope Village would provide a necessary stepping stone for others with barriers to housing.
The site proposed is temporary, and the supporting organizations will continue working with city, county, and service partners to develop long term solutions.
Without Hope Village, this group at Project RoomKey, initially chosen for their medical vulnerability, will be forced to find places to sleep on the street or in cars in the middle of winter. Please approve the Temporary Use Permit under discussion and support this endeavor.
Thank you for your consideration,
