Friend,

Working families had it tough even before the COVID pandemic. With a rising cost of living, skyrocketing prescription drug prices and stagnant wages, most of us have been struggling to make ends meet for a while.

Brittany from Philadelphia has shared a common story:

“I Work 3 Jobs Just To Pay For A One Bedroom Apartment that is 1000 dollars a month. To keep food in my apartment, car payments and car maintenance, I have to maintain 3 jobs. If the cost of living was not so high I could afford it all in one job. Please lower the rent costs, to something more affordable or raise the minimum wage.”

Right now there’s a piece of legislation in the Senate that can help out people like Brittany all over the country. It’s called the Build Back Better Act.

This bill would strengthen our ability to form a union in the workplace, allocate funding to extend families’ Child Tax Credit, provide universal pre-k for kids, give much needed support to renters across the country, create clean union energy jobs that pay a living wage, and build affordable homes.

It is the first step towards giving working families the helping hand we need.

Take action now and tell your senators to vote YES on the Build Back Better Act!

In Solidarity,

Sydney Roberts
